Bozcaada (Tenedos) one of the two Turkish islands on the Aegean Sea is a district of Çanakkale situated almost exactly opposite the famous city of Troy. Bozcaada is 3 miles from the west Anatolian coast. Nearly one third of this 42 square- kilometre area is covered with vineyards. The history of grape growing and wine making is as old as Bozcaada itself. For centuries Muslims and Christians have lived here side by side.
